From malls with familiar stores to one-of-a-kind retailers, Little Rock ranks as the shopping spree place to be for all of Arkansas. And, soooieee, if Hogman's Hog Pen on University Avenue doesn't go whole hog with University of Arkansas Razorback memorabilia from snortin' fine foam mesh trucker caps and vehicle windsocks to the official board game Hogopoly ("recite the fight song or lose one turn"). With the Clinton Presidential Center at the east end, River Market District has expanded from a single building for several blocks in all directions to feature souvenir, art, museum and specialty shops, eateries, and nocturnal hot spots. Ottenheimer Market Hall, on Markham, houses the Farmer's Market. University Mall -– with U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine recruiter offices -- is anchored by MM Cohn, JCPenney and Sears, with Dollar Tree, GNC Nutrition, Scribbles Embroidery, and Trevors Home Décor among smaller retailers.

Park Plaza Mall, at West Markham and University, draws with specialty shops like Abercrombie Kids, Abercrombie & Fitch, Athlete's Foot, plus Pretty Nails, Regis Hairstylists, and Instant Memories Photography. In North Little Rock, McCain Mall is anchored by Dillard's, MM Cohn, and JCPenney, with other shops including Hat World, Foot Locker, Radio Shack, and Gordon's Jewelers. Lakewood Village Shopping Park, west of McCain Mall, features more than three dozen specialty stores, eateries, and other enterprises from Pier One, Goody's and Dollar Store Express to H & R Block and Jenny Craig Weight Loss Center. West Little Rock has a Burlington Coat Factory, K-Mart, Sam's Club, Target and Wal-Mart.
